Flora and Fauna of The Universe: This website features drawings and descriptions of extraterrestrial plants, animals, and microbes. It is also an information resource covering the new and growing sub-genre of science fiction called alien biology, also called exobiology, xenobiology, or astrobiology. While the focus is life on other planets, it may also link to related subjects, such as art resources, real science resources, speculations of future evolution on Earth, projects covering alternate-history evolution on Earth, general creature design, and works of general science fiction or fantasy so long as they feature a wide variety of life forms. Alien ecology, behavior, psychology, culture, and government are also relevant.
How It Started: Since before I was six years old a hobby of mine has been drawing and describing extraterrestrial animals, plants, and microbes. I explain their behaviors, organ systems, cellular structures, and ecological relationships. When I found out in my thirties that I was not the only one that did this, I decided there needed to be a blog that featured great exobiology projects.
Contact Me: I am always looking for useful resources or interesting projects to link to. If you have a book, blog, website, movie, YouTube channel, or event relevant to exobiology, contact me using the tips form.
About Me: I am an author, artist, explorer, and contemplator of subjects large and small. I sell my art printed on shirts at WayOutLife.com. I also keep several blogs and have published several books on several subjects. Visit my website for more.
